Additional Course Information

During 2022 we will be running a selection of shorter wildlife film courses.
There will be a total of seven courses in total, ranging from a one week to a four week course.
All courses will be run on location on the Isle of Mull in Scotland.

Course Descriptions

Filming Only:
This course is specifically designed to give you the maximum amount of time on location filming with 4k cameras. You will use a selection of different 4k cameras, lens systems and grip equipment to improve you overall skill level of filming during your time with us.
•  You will not use any audio recording or editing equipment during this course.
•  You will not be tasked with producing a film during this course.

Audio Only:
This course is specifically designed to give you the maximum amount of time on location recording audio in the field. You will use different audio field recorders, microphones and wind-shield systems to improve you overall skill level of audio recording in the field.
•  You will not use any cameras or editing equipment during this course.
•  You will not be tasked with producing a film during this course.

Full Production.
During this course you will be using a selection of 4k cameras, audio recording equipment and editing equipment to produce a short, fully finished, wildlife film whilst out on location. This course is specifically designed to give you the maximum amount of time filming with a selection of different 4k cameras, lens systems, audio recording systems and grip equipment to improve you overall skill level of filming. During the evenings you will edit your footage into a short, fully finished, wildlife film.

Course Closing Date:
The closing date for all of our 2022 courses is 1st April 2022. You need to have returned all of your booking paperwork and paid for your course fees in full before this dat to be able to attend your course.
All our courses are booked on a ´First-come, First-served´ basis, so it is highly recommended that you book early to secure your place. You will not be able to book on this course after this date.

Course Timetable:
1 week, 30th May to 3rd June –  Filming only
1 week, 6th to 10th June  –  Audio only
2 weeks, 13th to 24th June  – Full Production
4 weeks, 4th to 29th July  –  Full Production
1 week, 1st to 5th August  –  Filming only
1 week, 8th to 12th August  –  Audio only
2 weeks, 15th to 26 August  – Full Production

Number of Students:
To minimise our impact on the ground in reference to the size of our base-camps, there is a maximum of 4 students permitted on all of our courses.

Course Fees & Equipment:
The course fees for our 2022 course are –
1-week film course – £1000 per student
2-week film course – £2400 per student
4-week film course – £5200 per student
Plus an ‘Equipment Damage Waiver’ of £1000 per student

As part of your course fees we will supply you with:
•  All 4K camera equipment
•  All ‘on location’ production equipment
•  All ‘on location’ 4K editing equipment
•  All basecamp tents and equipment
•  All staff and instruction
•  All vehicles and transportation overland required during your course

•  Flights to and from the UK are not included in your course fees as our students fly in from many different destinations around the world.
