The WFN 2023 Wildlife Film Awards
As the Wildlife Film Network reaches its second birthday at the end of the year 2023, we are going to celebrate by running our first annual Wildlife Film Awards.
In film making, titles are held in high regard. It is a well known that an award-winning film maker will go on to gain more professional work then an unrecognised film maker.
The competition is equally open to all, WFN members and non-members alike. The winners of the award will have the honour of being able to introduce themselves as an WFN award-winning wildlife film maker, be listed as such on the WFN website and receive an award certificate and trophy for permanent display.

The awards will fall into three categories:
Wildlife films of up to 5 minutes
Wildlife films of 5 to 30 minutes
Wildlife films of more than 30 minutes.

As this is our first film competition we are not going to financially stretch ourselves by offering a ludicrously generous prize fund without the necessary funds to back it up. Therefor be offering a prize system based upon the number of individual entries. Thus, the more entries there are, the higher the prize money will be. after all; it’s the award you are entering for. not the prise money!

The Prize fund will be as follows…
1st Prize will receive 50% of accumulated entry fees.
2nd Price will receive 25% of accumulated entry fees.
3rd Prize will receive 12.5% of accumulated entry fees.
All Category Winners and best Runner-up will receive ‘free membership’ to the WFN for life.

Everyone entering a wildlife film will be required to pay an ‘Entrance Fee’ to cover the cost of paying for independent judges and the accumulated price funds, certificates and trophies.

Entry fees will be as follows…
Wildlife films of up to 5 minutes, will have an entry fee of £10 per film.
Wildlife films of 5 to 30 minutes, will have an entry fee of £15 per film.
Wildlife films of more than 30 minutes, will have an entry fee of £20 per film.
