Self-shooting, videographers/producers for WoodlandsTV

WoodlandsTV are looking for self-shooting videographers/producers to make a series of short films for display on their website.
• This is a paid position
• Filming Locations in England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland
• Immediate start for the right candidate

General Overview

Woodlands.co.uk has a YouTube channel with over 400 films about woodland management and woodland activities. They are presently looking for self-shooting videographers/producers to make a series of short films about their woodland and the activities that are carried out within them.

The position is an ‘as and when’ opportunity, so would suit someone already working within the film industry looking to expand their horizons, working as freelancer, or students wishing to fit filming around other work/study or personal commitments.

The successful candidate would be employed on a freelance basis and would submit an invoice to WoodlandsTV upon completion of each film.
The films are required to be short (around 5 minutes) depicting the many hundreds of activities that go on within a woodland area. These can be for both a recreational pastime or a professional working within a wooded environment.
WoodlandsTV are looking for applications from across the whole of UK. Most of their current film producers are based in England and as woodland biodiversity varies throughout the UK, WoodlandsTV are keen to meet film producers to cover more than just England.
For example: They have had several requests from woodland owners for more films from Scotland in particular.

Specific Requirements

There is no ‘start date’ or ‘end date’ for this position.
Payment is £700 per uploaded film, including all expenses.
Film producers are required to use their own film equipment.
You are able to work in any location within the UK you wish.

WoodlandsTV will work with you through each stage of production; and expect successful candidates to produce a concept for a film, which is discussed with various parties involved as it progresses, before final film production starts.

All the films produced will need to meet the requirements as set by WoodlandsTV. We have a very good idea in reference to the content requirements to successfully demonstrate practical skills required, rather than talking heads or artistic shots of beautiful scenes.

As a film producer you will be required to have several ideas for films based on any specific interests that lie within the woodland landscape. Alternatively, WoodlandsTV have a lengthy list of ideas provided by woodland owners of what they would like to see on film, so are able to discuss with film producers’ other areas they may wish to cover that they may not have thought of.
WoodlandsTV also have a list of interesting people who are keen to be the subjects of films that they meet at woodland fayres, with particular skillsets who wish to demonstrate these to both woodland users and the wider public in general.
